Some 700 foreigners to monitor Kazakh parliamentary polls
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe head of the Kazakh Central Electoral Commission,, Kuandyk Turgankulov, said that 369 more monitors from 4 international organizations and 13 states were accredited for the parliamentary polls. He clarified that there are a total of 695 international observers to monitor the elections, RIA Novosti reports.
292 of them are from the ODIHR/OSCE, 257 from the CIS, 11 from the SCO, 9 from the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States, 4 from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, 10 from TURKPA and 112 foreign observers from 29 states.
The accrediting process will continue until the 9th of January 2012. The parliamentary polls will be held in Kazakhstan on the 15th of January 2012.
