Iran becomes second largest petroleum exporter to South Korea

Despite US sanctions, Iran exports about 280,000 barrels of oil to South Korea daily, becoming the second largest petroleum exporter to the Asian state, Mehr reports.

The National Oil Company of Iran supplied South Korea with about 264,000 barrels of oil daily since September 2011, increasing volumes to 280,000 barrels daily in November.

Saudi Arabia is the main oil exporter to South Korea. Kuwait exports 269,000 barrels of oil to the Asian state, and Iraq – 262,000 barrels.
