Eight killed in Chechnya clashes

Four militants have been killed in the Vedensky District of Chechnya, RIA Novosti reports.

A group of 10-15 militants was found in a forest of the Vedensky District on Sunday. A militant was found in the forest and surrounded, and was shot when he refused to surrender.

The police reported that three servicemen and a police officer also died in the operation, and 16 were injured.
