Armenian "Ameriabank" to appear on Georgian banking market

Armenian "Ameriabank" will officially appear on the Georgian banking market within a month, reports Business-Georgia. Last year, the bank was in the spotlight of the Georgian media in connection with the fact that it planned to acquire the assets of “HSBC – Georgia”.

According to the radio "Kommersant", the manager of the Armenian bank said that the Georgian market lacks competitiveness because of domination of the two banks. However, now it turns out that "Ameria" plans to enter the market as an independent player.

According to the radio, the formal procedures will take place in February. "Ameriabank" is one of the oldest banks in Armenia, founded in 1910.
