Turkey calls on Syrian opposition to resist Bashar Assad peacefully

Turkey calls on Syrian opposition to continue resistance against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad peacefully. This was stated by a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey on Monday, Armenia Today reports.

"Syrian opposition demands democracy and at the meeting yesterday we said that it should be done peacefully," said the ministry spokesman, referring to the Istanbul talks between Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and representatives of the Syrian oppositional National Council.
