The EU will pass a decision on the imposition of an embargo on oil exports from Iran at a meeting of foreign ministers in Brussels on January 23, ITAR-TASS reports.

The meeting was initially planned for January 30. The meeting will be attended by ministers from 27 states.

The European Union imports up to 40% of Iranian oil. Oil is transported via naval routes, mainly to Italy, Spain and Greece.
