Referendum on Syrian Constitution may be held in March – Assad

A referendum on the new Syrian Constitution may be held in March and parliamentary polls in May-June, Syrian President Bashar Assad said, Trend reports.

Assad noted that they are ready to cooperate with the opposition at any moment. He blamed foreign forces for destabilizing the situation in the country. The comment was made after a UN statement that over 5,000 people had been killed in Syria in 10 months.
