Iranian parliamentary speaker visits Turkey

Iranian Speaker of Parliament Ali Larijani, one of the most authoritative politicians in Iran, is on a visit to Turkey where he expects to smooth out its relations with Syria, Iran News reports.

Iran remains a supporter of Damascus. Turkey accuses Syria of suppressing anti-governmental protests.
