Combined power plants to be built in Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAkbar Peigami, head of the administration of Heris Shahrestan in the Province of Eastern Azerbaijan in Iran, said that the region will have combined power plants built with an output of 1,000 MW, Iran News reports.
The official said that it would need 130 hectares of land. A gas pipeline is being built to provide fuel for the power plants.
The Iran Power Development Co. (IPD) will be responsible for construction of power plants. Foreign specialists will be invited. Realization of the project would create about 2,000 jobs.
