Owner of blast-hit restaurant in Moscow may be arrested

The police have detained the Director General of Casabella, Suren Mkrtchyan, owner of the Il Pittore Restaurant where a blast occurred on January 9, killing 3 and injuring 38, News Armenia reports.

The blast happened in the Italian restaurant on Monday. Two staff members and a client with 100% body burns died. 38 people were hospitalized.

The investigation says that the blast may have been caused by carelessness. The maximum penalty is 4 years imprisonment.

The Cheremushkinsky Court in Moscow will consider the detention of Mkrtchyan today.
