Armenian prime minister to become speaker of parliament

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan is planning to appoint Tigran Gevorkyan, deputy head of the parliament’s office, as head of the office, News Armenia reports.

The Republican Party believes that Sargsyan may become Speaker of Parliament after the parliamentary polls.

Geram Garibjanyan was replaced by Gagik Mkheyan, father of singer Sofi Mkheyan, as head of the parliament’s office. He is also trying to take the position.
