Iran denies shipments of weapons to Syria

Iran calls France’s accusations of violating the embargo on import and export of weapons to Syria “groundless and unjustified”, RIA Novosti cites Ramin Mehmanparast, a spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, as saying.

Mehmanparast said that this is a case when a state, such as France, takes a political position without any grounds. It would be better to avoid making such accusations, the Iranian official says.
