Turkish court extends İlker Başbuğ's arrest

An Istanbul Court has extended the term of General İlker Başbuğ's arrest, RIA Novosti reports.

General Başbuğ, who used to serve as Turkish chief military commander, is accused of intending to overthrow the Turkish government.

The general was arrested on January 6, 2012.
