Germany's Merkel says UN should reconsider its line on Syria

Meeting Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the United Nations should have reconsidered the organization's policy on Syria, TRT reports.

It's very important for the UN to issue a statement regarding continuing violence and the role President Bashar al-Assad plays in these development, the German leader said.

The Arab League is now considering intervention in Syrian affairs.
