Israel urges South Korea to ban Iran's oil
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIsraeli security experts have urged the South Korean government to join oil sanctions against Iran, Press TV reports on Sunday.
Several experts from Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies told reporters at the Israeli Embassy in Seoul on Thursday that it was “very much in South Korea's interest” to join US sanctions against Iran, trying to limit the Islamic Republic's economic power to pursue nuclear programs.
"The only way to avoid military action against Iran is to adopt harsher sanctions," said Eytan Gilboa, a professor at the BE-SA Middle Eastern security research center. "We have to damage their major sources of income. We have to damage the Iranian oil industry."
