Thousands of tons of unripe mandarins froze on the trees due to an unexpected cold in Abkhazia. the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic, Beslan Dzhopua told Komsomolskaya Pravda (http://kp.ru). "Out of the planned 29 000 tons of mandarines only 10 thousand tons have been collected. Most of the crop remained on the trees, because the farmers hoped that mandarines could still ripen, turn yellow and acquire a marketable appearance" - said Dzhopua .
