The Armenian Development Agency and Australia developed a sheep-breeding project, Director of the agency Robert Arutyunyan said, News.am reports.

The project was initially developed with Iran. A slaughterhouse for 5,000 was worth $1.5 million. Iran and Arab states have high demand for beef. Armenia was recommended to increase the sheep numbers from 600,000-650,000 to 2.5 million as in the Soviet era.
