Ukraine sees enhanced ties with Iran
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaUkrainian Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko has hailed the “growing” relations with Iran over the past two decades, calling on the two countries to strengthen cooperation in more effective ways, Press TV reports on Thursday.
Ties between Tehran and Kiev have been based on mutual understanding and respect, said Gryshchenko in a Wednesday message to Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Iran and Ukraine.
He expressed hope Ukraine would make use of Iran's experience and succeed in expanding mutual ties in various fields.
In a separate message to his Ukrainian counterpart, the Iranian foreign minister said Tehran and Kiev managed to expand close relations in accordance with mutual interests.
Salehi urged the two countries to make further efforts to bolster ties in political, economic, cultural, parliamentary and judicial fields.
