German delegation visits Baku ahead of Eurovision

A delegation headed by Mayor of Dusseldorf Dirk Elsberg has visited the State Flag Square in Baku and observed preparations for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, construction of the Baku Crystal Hall, where participants from 57 will sing, Trend reports.

Azerbaijan won the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Dusseldorf.

Semi-finals will be held in Baku on May 22 and 24, finals on May 26.

Germany, France, UK, Italy and Spain and last year’s winner Azerbaijan will take part in the finals. 1600 journalists of 43 states will arrive. The USA, South Africa, the Middle East and Australia will broadcast the show directly, APA reports.
