Newly elected PACE president against Armenian genocide bill

The newly elected president of the CE Parliamentary Assembly, Jean-Claude Mignon, stated he, as a French lawmaker, objects to the approval of the Armenian Genocide bill, Tert.am reports.

It is not lawmakers business to write history. It is historians’ business, Mignon said as quoted by the Azerbaijan-based APA news agency. France has admitted all its past mistakes, he said, wishing Turkey to do the same.
