Vestnik Kavkaza reported earlier that Alla Jioyeva, winner of the unrecognized presidential polls of South Ossetia of November 2011, had planned inauguration on February 10. She said that the decision had been made after the violation of the agreement, signed with mediation of Sergey Vinokurov, spokesman of the Russian Presidential Administration. Experts believe that the sides will reach a compromise, Kommersant reports.

Vadim Brovtsev became acting Prime Minister after cancelling of vote results by the Supreme Court.

Editor-in-Chief of Vestnik Kavkaza Alexey Vlasov said that Jioyeva’s statements would hardly make the situation more tense, confrontation would not benefit anyone.

The Kremlin put all efforts to reach compromise, the expert reckons. The situation will obviously be resolved in March, the political analyst states.

Vladimir Novikov, another political analyst, says that Jioyeva is unprepared for confrontation. But the sides are currently trying to reach a compromise. The sides may meet and return to status quo.
