Russia appoints new ambassador to Libya

Today president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree appointing Ivan Molotkov the   Russian extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Libya, ITAR-TASS reports.
At the beginning of the Libyan crisis Russian ambassador Vladimir Chamov was recalled from Tripoli. His functions were carried out until recently by Maxim Maksimov.
