24 kg of narcotics confiscated in Adygeya

Most crime in Adygeya was registered in Maikop (51%), Takhtamukaysky District (18%), Maikopsky District (15%), Giaginsky District (9%), Yuga.ru reports.

The police registered 168 crimes in 2011, 112 of them grave, 69 domestic. The drug police registered 12 facts of drug confiscations, totaling some 21 kg, exceeding the previous year’s figures by 3 kg. Over 24 kg of narcotics and psychotropic substances were confiscated, exceeding the previous year twice.

176 cases were initiated, 104 cases closed, 99 cases resulted in trials of 108 people. 115 people were sentenced, 43 of them got severe punishments.
