Turkish Prime Minister gives Chechnya three hairs of Prophet Muhammad

Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan has given three hairs of the Prophet Muhammad to the Chechen Republic. Late on Thursday night they were brought from Istanbul to Grozny, Interfax reports.

"The Chechen Diaspora in Turkey asked Erdogan to present the relics as a gift to the Chechen Republic. Within a month we received a positive response, and today we delivered a priceless gift," the chairman of the Chechen Committee "Sivas" in Turkey's Ayhan Ergyuven told journalists at Grozny airport.


On January 26 Uzbekistan delivered another hair of the Prophet Muhammad to the Chechen republic. The relic is a box containing a capsule with the hair of the prophet.
