Putin’s supporters to win youth approval

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s supporters have decided to activate efforts to win youth approval when there is only one month left before the presidential polls. A website was opened “мойпутин.рф”. Initiators of the network for Putin’s supporters say that they are far from political activity. They do not plan agitation within the project. Vladimir Tabak and Maksim Perlin, authors of the idea to form a calendar for Putin with female students of the Journalism Department of the MSU and heads of the Fakultet Publishing Office, have organized a press conference.

The project is to show that Russia has a different view. The information schedule is 90% based on people discontented with the government. This may provoke a feeling that there are no people supporting Vladimir Putin and his course. It is a wrong view and our website aims to prove it. Occasionally, people supporting Vladimir Putin are not used to open and vivid expression of opinion. The problem is that these are people of action or young people who are studying and not involved in politics. People supporting Vladimir Putin believe that the situation in Russia is in a normal sustainable state, thankful that their lives differs from the 1990s. In our opinion, this is more of Vladimir Putin’s achievement.

Many opposition leaders are trying to inculcate that people voting for Vladimir Putin have blue-collar occupations, they are women over 50 or uneducated. When realizing this project, we wanted to show that the group relevant to Vladimir Putin is slightly wider-ranging. We graduated from the Journalism Department of the MSU, where it is cool to be in opposition, but such people have no real political power. We want to use our project to say that there are people whose education is no lower than that of those protesting at Bolotnaya Square, that they are successful, they support Vladimir Putin and are not bought into such trends. If you visit our website, you decided to vote for Putin earlier. In the state of information war in the Internet, we would want to form a platform to unite Vladimir Putin’s supporters specifically, that is why we will have moderation and censorship. We have a set of “stars”, recorded for the project. We have about 7500 users of our website, their numbers grow constantly. We expect 100,000 by the end of the month.
