Turkey to present new initiative on Syria

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced plans for regional talks on settlement of the Syrian issue, Interfax reports.

Erdogan told parliament that Turkey will introduce a new initiative to support Syrians, but not the Syrian regime. He condemned Russia and China for vetoing the resolution on Syria at the UN Security Council, based on recommendations of the Arab League.
