Azerbaijani border guards detained 35 people in January

The Azerbaijani Border Police detained 35 people in 25 attempts to violate the frontier, APA reports.

28 people in 18 cases were detained for carrying false documents, 2 people in 2 cases attempted to cross the border secretly, 5 people in 4 cases attempted to violate the border.

145 people on the wanted list were detained. Border guards confiscated 6.137 kg of narcotics. Violators attempted to smuggle goods worth 252,721 manats in 47 cases, including 3 pistols and 3 ammo clips, 127 ammo units with a caliber of 9 mm, 75 bullets of caliber 16 mm, 7 bullets of caliber 7.55 mm, 1 bullet with caliber 7.62, 2 holsters, 5 masks, 2 night vision goggles, 2 tear gas sprays, 2 video cameras, 1 camera, 2 radio stations, 7 knives, 1 laptop, $8107, 525 euros, 217 manats, 1573 cigarette packs, 159 mobile phones and alcohol.

13 people in 7 cases were detained by coast guards.
