Sabina Babayeva to represent Azerbaijan at 2012 Eurovision Song Contest

On Sunday, Sabina Babayeva was approved to represent Azerbaijan at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, Trend reports.

119 singers were competing, only 72 were approved for the competition to represent Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan won the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Dusseldorf in May. Baku will host the semi-finals of the song contest on May 22 and 24, and the finals on May 26.

The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held under the slogan “light your fire”. It will be held at the Baku Crystal Hall on State Flag Square.

Baku Crystal Hall has a capacity of 23,000 spectators. 16,000 more will watch the show live on monitors.
