Kazakh president deprives national security officers of immunity

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has signed a bill on amendments and supplements to some legislative acts on the Kazakh special services, Tengrinews.kz reports.
Amendments to the law on special state structures of Kazakhstan are to be passed.
Senator Mukhtar Altynbayev clarified that the immunity of national security officers, including immunity from arrest, personal inspection and inspection of items in their service transport, has been lifted.
The amendments take admonitions of December 26, 2011, and January 10, 2012, into account.
