Medvedev appoints Moscow mayor to chair committee for Russian chairmanship at G8

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree on chairmanship of the Organization Committee for preparations of Russia's chairmanship of the G8. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin will head the committee, replacing S.E. Prikhodko, the press service of the Kremlin reports.

The Organization Committee for G8 Chairmanship was formed on June 7, 2011.
