Syria rejects Arab League’s initiative to send peacekeepers

Damascus rejects the proposal of the Arab League to send peacekeepers with the UN to Syria, Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riad Hallad said in Moscow, RIA Novosti reports.

The Arab League made the proposal at a session of foreign ministers in Cairo on February 12. It requested the UN to pass the resolution and form peacekeeping groups.
