Five police officers killed on Chechen-Dagestani border

Five police officers died and six were injured in a shootout with militants on the administrative border of Chechnya and Dagestan on Thursday, Interfax reports.

Militants were surrounded in an area bordering on Chechnya and the Kazbekovsky District of Dagestan. 11 police officers have died and 17 been injured in clashes with militants in the last 3 days.
