CSTO to support Armenia in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaArmenia will receive all the necessary help, should the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict augment, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Nikolai Bordyuzha, said, RIA Novosti reports.
The official noted that foreseeing crises in CSTO states is impossible. There are variants as in Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan.
Bordyuzha clarified that, besides the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces, there is political and peacekeeping potential for stability. The CSTO has potential to prevent terrorism and drug trafficking, crime and illegal migration.
Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, members of the CSTO, will mark the 20th anniversary of the Collective Security Treaty and the 10th anniversary of the organization in 2012.
