Georgian sailors at Sukhumi Port request aid

Four Georgian sailors of Hakki Ehiliglus, a ship under the flag of Panama, are currently at the Sukhumi Port and request support to return home, Interfax reports.

Georgy Sapanadze, one of the sailors, sent a video message, describing how they were lured to Abkhazia. Their ship is damaged, water is being pumped out, the engine is non-operational. Families of the sailors say they were lured to Abkhazia and not paid for their services.

Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said that they are working on transporting the sailors back home.
