New anti-American outcries in Afghanistan

Afghan locals have been protesting against burning of Muslim holy books, including the Quran, at a military base for the third day, Interfax reports.


Over 600 people have started protests at the Laghman Province. About 300 more were seen crying out "Death to America" in Jalalabad.


The Taliban Movement has urged Afghanistan to attack US military bases and take Americans as prisoners, Gazeta.ru reports.


John Alen, NATO Chief in Afghanistan, appologized for "unintentional" burning of Quran at Bagram.


6 were killed and dozens injured during protests on Wednesday. Afghan President Hamid Karzai urged the population stop the protests.
