Baku starts sale of tickets for 2012 Eurovision

Baku will start selling tickets for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest at 3 pm on February 29. Tickets may be purchased online at eurovision.tv. Tickets will be sold for the first semi-final and its repetitions planned on May 22, ANS Press reports.

Tickets for the first semi-final will be available on February 29, the second semi-final on March 5, finals on the judgment finals on March 12 and final on March 15.

One third of all tickets will be sold abroad, the rest in Azerbaijan. All states will have an equal amount of tickets to be offered.

Online purchases require name, ID number. One purchaser may buy up to 4 tickets. Payments are available with MasterCard, Visa, American Express. Only the ticket owner may pass, tickets cannot be handed to other people. False information from the purchaser makes the ticket invalid.

A client will get an electronic letter confirming the purchase. Purchasers will present a voucher they received by e-mail to a ticket office. The procedure will prevent falsification of tickets.
