Iranian petroleum to be transported to Armenia

Iran and Armenia are signing a new deal on petroleum shipments, Iran News reports.

The sides have had numerous negotiations to construct a terminal for petroleum. They discussed construction of pipelines to transport oil from Tabriz (Iran) to Yeraskh (Armenia).

Iran has contracts for petroleum shipments to Iraq, Afghanistan and some states of the Gulf and Eastern Asia.

Iran produces 50 million liters of petrol and 100 million liters of diesel daily. Euro 4 and Euro 5 are planned to increase the next year (starting on March 21).

Iran exported petroleum worth $9 billion from March 21, 2011, to January 20, 2012.
