Kidnapping of commanders of Free Syrian Army prevented

Turkish intelligence services have prevented the kidnapping of commanders of the Free Syrian Army from the Khatay Province, RIA Novosti reports.

The kidnapping of Colonel Riyad Al-Assad, General Brigadier Moustafa Ash-Sheikh and other officers was planned. A member of Syrian intelligence services arrested on February 25.

Protests in Syria have been going for over a year. About 7,500 people have died. Syrian authorities say over 2,000 law enforcers have died.
