Russia says UN shouldn't be used to overthrow governments

Russia says the United Nations should not be used in order to overthrow governments of sovereign states, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told Rossiyskaya Gazeta, RIA Novosti informs.

"Such actions are intolerable," the minister said.

On Thursday Russia voted against a UN Human Rights Council resolution calling on Syria to immediately end violence against civilians and grant humanitarian organizations access to the country.
