VTB24 bank to continue servicing Iranian Embassy in Russia

The VTB24 Bank will continue servicing the Iranian Embassy in Russia until diplomats find a different bank for their accounts, press speaker of VTB24 Artem Bochkarev said, Interfax reports.

The official confirmed that cooperation with the embassy will end within the framework of the payroll program.

Iranian Ambassador to Russia Reza Sajari said last week that VTB24 warned the diplomats about blocking accounts of the embassy and its staff, demanding them to withdraw cash, otherwise it would be confiscated.
