Baku hosts Jewels of France Exhibition

The Azerbaijani National Arts Museum has opened the Jewels of France Exhibition with support of the Heydar Aliyev Fund. Mehriba Aliyeva, the first lady of Azerbaijan and President of the Heydar Aliyev Fund, Goodwill Ambassador of the UNESCO and ISESCO, French Minister for Culture and Communication Frederic Mitterrand, public and political figures and diplomats attended the opening, 1news.az reports.

The exhibition will demonstrate about 400 unique works of the Azerbaijani National Arts Museum and the Association of French Museums for two months. The Louvre and d’Orsay, French National Library, National Furniture and National Tapestry Manufactures, Versailles assisted.

Paris held the Azerbaijani culture festival in April 2011.

The exposition in Baku this year will demonstrate French works in Azerbaijan.
