Medvedev wants Tkachyov to remain Governor of Krasnodar Territory

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has requested the legislative assembly of the Krasnodar Territory to consider keeping Alexander Tkachyov as Governor of the region, RIA Novosti reports.

The Krasnodar Territory will hold the Winter Olympic Games in 2014. Tkachyov has been governing the region for over 11 years.
