South Ossetia starts reconstruction of Kvays lead-zinc mine

The South Ossetian Minister for Economic Development Alexey Khabalov plans reconstruction of the Kvays lead-zinc mine, Res reports.

Russian experts will assist in studying the deposits of the mine. Previous estimations were held on July 1, 1987.

The minister emphasized that reopening the facility will bring income and give new jobs. Prices for lead and zinc grow fast. Russian investors have interest in the mine, the Khabalov says.
