Khloponin: North-Caucasian channel should be of interest to all Russian citizens
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe North Caucasian television channel is under development, Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Envoy in the North Caucasus Federal District Alexander Khloponin said today at a meeting with the winners of the VII International Contest of Journalists 'Golden Pen', dedicated to the memory of Akhmad-Hadji Kadyrov, the press service of the Leader and government of the Chechen Republic reports.
Khloponin invited journalists to gather and discuss the creation of the North Caucasian TV channel.
Khloponin stressed that civil society should play an active role in censoring television channels.
The awarding ceremony of the winners of the VII International Contest of Journalists "Golden Pen", in memory of the first President of the Chechen Republic, Akhmad-Hadji Kadyrov, took place at the State Theatre and Concert Hall in Grozny. The ceremony was attended by Vice Premier of Russia and Russia's Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District, Alexander Khloponin, as well as the Leader of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov.
29 journalists, including representatives of the Chechen Republic, the Lipetsk region, the Trans-Baikal region, Perm, Stavropol region, Moscow and the republics of Khakassia, North-Ossetia - Alania, Ingushetia and other regions were recognized as winners of the contest.
