Organizer of Stavropol terrorist blast gets life term

Cherkes Rustamov, the organizer of the terrorist attack in Stavropol, resulting in 8 people dead, has been sentenced to life in jail, RIA Novosti reports.

Rustamov and locals from Dagestan Misriyev and Abdullayev activated a bomb at the Culture and Sports Center at in Stavropol during performance of the Vaynakh ensemble on May 26, 2010.

Misriyev was killed in June 2012, Abdullayev during a robbery of a store in Stavropol in September 2010. Rustamov has not admitted guilt. His lawyer Zhal Fatullayeva said that they will appeal the sentence.
