Israeli anti-terrorist headquarters recommended the country’s citizens to abstain from visiting Turkey in the near future. According to the officials, they possess solid evidence on Iranian agents preparing a series of attacks against Israeli diplomats and prominent community members on Turkish soil. The alleged attacks will also target synagogues and other facilities related to the Jewish community. The Headquarters didn’t exclude the possibility that the terrorists might target Israeli businessmen and passengers of Israeli airlines.

Last week Israeli intelligence service Mossad provided Turkish special services with information on four members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps who had already entered Turkish territory and possessed all the necessary equipment for the diversions.

It is worth noting that currently the majority of Israeli tourists visiting Turkey are of Arab origin. Nevertheless, 3-4 flights are being made from Istanbul to Tel-Aviv and back on a daily basis – they are organized for Israeli and Turkish businessmen, as well as for those Israeli citizens who fly to Turkey en route to Eastern Asia

Israeli officials were content when, after receiving information on possible attacks, the Turkish authorities addressed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and said that they won’t tolerate any aggressive action on Turkish soil.

On the other hand, Israel had to face yet another anti-Israeli claim by Turkish PM Erdogan, who called on Tel-Aviv to ‘stop genocide in Gaza’. The Israeli people, in their turn, can’t understand why the elimination of terrorists who launched hundreds of missiles against Israel, targeting schools and hospitals and making almost a quarter of the country’s population hide in shelters, is being called a ‘genocide’ and ‘a new crime of the Zionist regime’.
