Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Georgia being held today
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaArmenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian is going to Georgia on Saturday on a working visit, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports. The meeting of Nalbandian with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Grigol Vashadze is scheduled in Tbilisi, according to RIA Novosti.
The last time Nalbandian visited Tbilisi was on a short working visit in June 2011. Then the agenda included the problems concerning the Armeniancommunity of Georgia and the steps taken to address them. In addition, Nalbandian and Vashadze discussed issues related to improving the legal framework, cooperating within international organizations and simplifying border crossing procedures and transportation.
At a meeting with Nalbandian, Vashadze mentioned that Armenian-Georgian relations are unprecedentedly active. "Relations between Armenia and Georgia have not been as active as they are now since the day of the establishment of independence," the Georgian Minister said.
