US disappointed with Turkish vote on Iranian sanctions

US Defense Secretary Robert Gates expressed disappointment with the
Turkish vote against UN sanctions against Iran, although Ankara's
decision will not affect US-Turkish military cooperation, RIA Novosti
reports.
The Turkish foreign ministry called the sanctions "a mistake" and an
obstacle to a diplomatic resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue.
