Over 200 million for park beautification stolen in Moscow
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaOver 200 million rubles for beautification of parks in Moscow have been stolen, the Russian Interior Ministry says, RIA Novosti reports.
The funds were stolen by officials of the department for natural resources and ecology of Moscow, the Bureau for Economic Analysis of Ecological Projects and some commercial organizations.
The director of the bureau signed two contracts with RosMetProduct in 2011 for construction at 7 ecological parks in Moscow, including Vorobyovy Hills, Tyoply Stan, Bitsevsky Les and Losiny Ostrov National park.
