Gazprom Marketing & Trading Switzerland AG, a subsidiary of Gazprom (Russia), has signed a protocol of intentions with purchasers of gas from the Tamar Field, RIA Novosti reports.

A gas facility is planned to be constructed by South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. and D&H Solutions AS (a joint venture of Daewoo Shipbuilding and Norway’s Hemla).

Israel owns the Tamar and Leviathan Fields north of Haifa. Tamar has 238 billion cubic meters of gas reserves, Leviathan about 453 billion after only 50% of explorations.
